Sunderland Royal Hospital Outpatients Department
Tara and Wendy went along to Sunderland Royal hospital to present the hospital department with their well earned star award following a nomination from a patient who was helped by the team.
This was backed up by hundreds of comments from others who had visited the service following feedback collected by as part of an engagement session in the department.
The Outpatients Team is based in the hospitals Chester Wing. The teams offer a range of services such as Cardiology, Neurology, Oncology, General Surgery and Vascular.
Outpatient Nurse Manager, Christine Tilbury was thrilled that the department has been recognised for their work.
Tara Johnson, Healthwatch Sunderland Project Lead, said:
"On behalf of patients, we are delighted to be able to issue the Outpatients Department and its staff with one of our Star Awards.
