Wendy and Natalie from our Engagement team were delighted to go along to the Sunderland Care and Support ‘smart home’ to award Occupational Therapist, Robyn Pilkington with her Healthwatch Sunderland Star award.

Robyn was nominated by one of her clients, who said; 

“Robyn is a amazing occupational therapist. She treats people individually and goes above and beyond. She has given me faith in professionals.  She really supported me to keep my independence and not ever tried to push PAs or carers on me. She has listened to me about what I would like to stay independent and helped me get equipment and adaptions to maintain my Independence so I don't need carers/PAs. 

Robyn is special person. She has a true insight of how someone feels and what would help them. 

Robyn has gone above and beyond to get me to get me adaptions and equipment. Words can never explain how grateful I am.

Overall amazing person and truly amazing qualities. Her kindness is truly felt.”
