Accessing menopause support for women with a learning disability

The North East & Cumbria Learning Disability Network is working with stakeholders across the North East North Cumbria Integrated Care System looking at how women with a learning disability can access reasonably adjusted care around assessment, treatment, and support for the perimenopause and menopause. People with a learning disability face greater health inequalities and poor experiences when accessing health and care services. 

To support them in developing this work they are working with Sunderland University to conduct a service evaluation. They would like to hear from anybody working within a healthcare setting across North East North Cumbria who may have to assess, support, or treat women with a learning disability for perimenopause or menopause to gather your views. 

This work will inform their improvement project moving forward. 

The survey will close on the 31st August 2024.
