Jonathan Hindmarsh, Pharmacist, South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust
Anna and Wendy from the Engagement Team went along to Sunderland Royal Hospital on Thursday 4th August to present Jonathan with his well-earned Star Award. His nomination came from a member of a patient who told us about the fabulous support he gave to her during her stay in hospital.
The patient explained that Jonathan not only supported her with the medication she needed, but also went above and beyond, spending an hour listening to her about other issues which were concerning her at the time.
Jonathan, who was very modest about his award, was delighted and said;
“I'm so pleased this patient managed to regain their independence, but I could not have done it without the support and hard work of the health professionals around me.”
Well done Jonathan, you really are a star!
Jonathan has worked extremely hard to develop his role and skills, and it is excellent to see that his efforts have enabled him to greatly improve the quality of life of the patients he serves
