Grace house

Paper emotional wheel

Our youth engagement officer Lucy has spent time at Grace house the past couple of weeks working with their Friday youth group to tackle any concerns they have about health and social care services.

Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Programme

volunteers

In February staff and volunteers attended a children’s holiday club hosted at Sunderland mind to educate young people on how to look after their teeth, this springs from the ongoing issues with dentistry in the UK. Young people completed an activity after the session to show us what they had learnt.

And more recently in April Youthwatch collaborated with Sunderland Stop Smoking Service to deliver a workshop around the dangers of smoking. Thank you to all the young people and holiday club workers who participated in the workshop.

National Citizen Service group

In September we visited a National Citizen Service group based at the Beacon of Light, where Youthwatch volunteers Chika and Chidera delivered a workshop they had designed to around 60 young people. As part of the workshop young people informed us what they do to practice self care for their body spirit and Mind. Thanks to all the young people who took part and shared their ideas.

Sunderland Mind

holding a board of ideas

In October we visited a young people's group based at Sunderland Mind where young people completed an activity to tell us what self-care means to them.
